Chocolate Muffin

No, this is not a recipe for an awesome chocolate muffin =P While I do live for sites like tastespotting.com, my dedication to living healthily stops me from making the fatty deliciousness of baked desserts (although I do cave occasionally *yum*). A couple of KK banners I should have posted a while ago, sorry, and a poem at the end that will explain the whole ‘chocolate muffin’ thing. Yeah…sadly, it’s based on a real dream I had O_o

Chocolate Muffin

I saw you eating a chocolate muffin
Just the other day
It didn’t occur to me at the time
Exactly what I’d say

Then I dreamt a dream of you
With no intention at all
I bought that chocolate muffin
You so scrumptiously adore

I walked into the classroom
And slid it over to you
Wrapped in its brown paper bag
You didn’t know what to do

I said to you “do you want it?”
For “I’m not hungry today”
Hoping foolishly to win your heart
To hear words that you don’t say

I don’t remember what happened next
Dreams are strange like that
I woke up feeling, just to myself
That I’d gone completely mad

I hope I said something witty
I hope you smiled at me
I hope we flirted over the muffin
And you asked me out to tea

Perhaps this will give me the strength
To stop by the café next week
Right before I see you in class
And you sit next to me

I’ll buy you a muffin, a chocolate one
And slide it over to you, and say
“Hey there, I bought a muffin today,
I thought you might like one too.”
